Ship Weapons
There are several types of Ship Weapons, each with its own strengths and weaknesses.
Ship weapons must be assigned to Battle Stations before they can operate.
Ballistic Weapons are small caliber guns that are stopped by the Shields. They generate Hard Flux upon impact with the Shields, and can cause significant damage for unshielded ships.
Ballistic Weapons are also effective at shooting down slow-moving projectiles, such as Asteroid.
Laser Weapons are more powerful than Ballistic Weapons but recharge slowly.
Missile Weapons are extremely dangerous because they ignore Shields and deal significant damage. Their main drawback is the need for expensive ammo.
Point Defense Weapons cannot attack other ships, but can be used to shoot down incoming projectiles of Missile Weapons. They also work great against non-ship threats such as Breach Capsule.
Plasma Weapons are ultimate weapons that can overwhelm the Shields and deal massive damage.
